Who We Are
The goal of the Mytel Community Broadband Network Initiative is to provide more equitable internet connectivity in Africa.
How We Do It
The initiative is about building community broadband networks in underserved marginalized communities using volunteers in the local community, who first undergo training in basic wireless configurations, IP addressing, LAN set up including UTP cabling, and network troubleshooting.
Beneficiaries
The community broadband network is built and maintained by local volunteers and owned by the community.
